I am very interested in getting to know a woman in the Philippines and
corresponding with her and hopefully find someone who feels the way I do.
That the most happiness in life comes through family life and family
togetherness. I am a single dad with two children.

Unfortanately, I am blind from diabetes. Does anyone know if the INS might
allow a woman to here on a visa to visit me if I am unable to travel because
of my low vision?

I'm also looking for an organization that really gives personalized service;
maybe more of a smaller club. Thank you.

I don't know how you could read this but, vision impairment isn't a
problem- you only need to prove a relationship of at least 6 months...
how that is done is on a case by case basis. As for organizations... I
personnaly don't know any... perhaps you could try the one posted here
last month... good luck.

I have a text to voice reader. Thank you for the advice. It sounds like I
need to talk to an immigration attorney who might be familiar with my
problem. The six month time period is very useful info.

TOM:
I met a nice Philippine woman using yahoo chat program, check it out. I talk
to my soon to be Asawa (wife)
every day, and every week end we web cam. I know you cannot do that, but
your children can talk to her
too. I am going thrrough the immigration papers phase right now. Pretty
intense, INS says you don't have to go there,
however it is very wise to do so, or you may have trouble getting your
fiance' here. Fiance' Visa is the fastest way
to get her to the USA. I-129F form, and several others. You don't need a
Immgration lawyer unless you have
something very wrong in your Police record, or her police record. Took me a
month of studying and a month to get
all the paperwork ready to send in. After that you will have another whole
set of financial papers to send to the Embassy
when they notify you. Your Lady will need to jump fast to get her papers to
you too. Takes about a year from start to
finish. INS will say 4-6 months. Which may be true if you live outside of
the Nebraska Service Center, East Coast and West
Coast is faster. Vermont is smoking fast!!!

Can't believe there are less than a hundred posts in here. Think maybe some
of you might just need to CROSS POST to introduce this ng to the outside
world ???

Bummer, are you even still around ? As I wasn't asked how to help liven
things up, you may not even hear from me for awhile, but I will most likely
check in every now and again. Before some of the regulars here got stuffy,
and rebeled against cross-posting (which introduces others to any group)
this WAS a pretty good newsgroup :-(
